Two "Birthdays"...

What busy days these are ...and I know several of you can relate to not always having time to post or completely keep up with other blog friends posts! But I hope to catch up with most of you a little at a time.
But I wanted to share with you something special...actually two...

On Sunday, I was privileged to be among ten or so other family members on my husband's side to witness first hand and pray along side a sister who was committing her life and heart to the Lord. I think all of us were in awe to just be able to there, much less be used in any small way...
Even my girls were able to witness her prayer and it is something none of us in that room will probably ever, ever forget. We are rejoicing along with the angels right now...
So, in a way, this is a spiritual birthday as it marks a new birth in Christ.

On Wednesday, my mom celebrates her 82nd birthday. Hard to believe...(and for her, too!)

I plan on getting her this week to have her spend the night and then when we take her back, the girls and I are taking her to a surprise destination! (Shh...I have to be careful, she reads my blog!)
But I hope to tell you all about it afterward!
For her 80th, I wrote a longer, detailed post about her which you can see here.

In the meantime, Mom, I wish you a very happy birthday.

Thank you for always being there for me...for your prayers and guidance...and for being one of my very best friends.

I love you and so grateful to still have you in our lives!
~Tammy

Happy Birthday to your Mom and I hope it is the best celebration for all of you. I can't wait to hear about the surprise. I love surprises.

I know you are still on "The Mountain Top" with Sunday's Birthday. I just love those mountain top experiences and you will be such a great Christian mentor. Blessings my friend!

How wonderful about the new birth in Christ. That's what it's all about...increasing the population of Heaven and decreasing the population of hell. We rejoice with the Angels in Heaven!!!

Happy BD to your special Mom and I know the "surprise" you and the girls have planned will be wonderful.

Wwhat a lovely post about your Mom! All the pictures are wonderful and I agree we are so blessed to still have our Mom's in our lives. My mother has been my best friend for all of my adult life!

What a joy to witness someone coming to that point in their life where they know they need salvation and heed the call. As you said the angels are rejoicing along with you! Wonderful for your girls to be there and be a part of the most important decision that a person can make in their whole life!

Happy birthday, Mom! We're celebrating my mom's 80th in early May - two brothers and the SIL from England will be here. I'll have to do a big post on that.

I prayed for your SIL and hope that is who you are talking about!

Hi Tammy, In response to your comment on the Teabag post and about the Red Envelop project. I posted on 2/12 http://penlesswriter.blogspot.com/2009/02/putting-action-to-our-words.html
about doing that and sent mine at that time.

Both of these peaceful protests are truly putting Action to our Words and I am happy to hear you will be posting about the Red Envelope.
((hugs))
