Mandy...That 4 month old streeeeeeeetch...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to add that today is the last day for nominations in the Hidden Treasure Blog Awards.
I think this is a wonderful thing because it just may help to spotlight a few wonderful posts- or blogs- that may have gone largely unnoticed.
I have nominated a few...Iand I hesitate to name them, because there are truly SO many wonderful posts and blogs I have read- and more out there that I haven't even discovered!
But here are a few of sort of hidden gems that I found:
Remembering Mama by Morning Glory for Motherhood
Remembering the Day by Grafted Branch for Life and Current Events
Recipe for Romance by This Ain't New York for Marriage
The Bride Goes Wild by ...well...me. ;) Family Doin's for Children and Family (I can't believe I gave a shameless plug for myself...would Susan Lucci do that? No, she has far more grace...)
Now as for the other three catagories, there are SO many blogs and posts that might fit into those three catagories, that I simply cannot narrow them down to one nomination at the moment. No, sirreebob, I cannot! (And I never use that word, by the way!)
So as you can see, I am going to have quite the time on voting day!
So, head on over to Everyday Mommy after digging through the hidden treasures everywhere!

In closing, I wanted to thank everyone a few weeks ago for your thoughs, words of advice and prayers concerning whether or not to keep that lanky beast pictured above. I have prayed so long and hard for wisdom, as well as for Mandy to settle down a bit, and finally a decision came for me this past weekend. We're keeping her! More on this another post...
Blessings!

They look so funny when the stretch out like that. My cats do it, too.
She already wormed her way into your heart, didn't she? *Grin*
I'm glad you decided to keep Mandy. She should get a little easier to handle as each month passes.
I've only read one of the posts you nominated so I'm off to read the others.
Mandy is getting so big. I know she has become a wonderful addition to your family.
I'll try and come back and read the links you posted. (I've already read at least one!)
hugs!
Our dog, we had when I was in high school, was named Mandy, too. I'm glad that you're keeping her. Maybe if she acts up again oneday, you could take her to obedience school.
Awww....so cute! Glad you're keeping her. And a real, true "Wordless Wednesday" is nearly impossible.
Wow - Mandy is reeeaally long!
I'm completely honored and touched by your nomination. You brought tears to my eyes. Thanks you so much!!
That is one loooong puppy! Looking forward to that post!
His he mopping the floor too? :)
Glad you are keeping the puppy! she really is a cutie.

I'll have to go read those when I get a chance.
I'm really glad you are keeping Mandy. Did those programs you watched of the dog whisperer at my house help you come to your decission? She had already wormed her way into my heart at Christmas , but she was a much smaller puppy then.
Is Mandy a Lab? I haven't read down further to see what problems you were having with her. We have a Lab mix. They can be a handful when they are young. It gets a lot easier especially after obedience classes. Our dog Cassie is 5 and she's pretty close to a perfect dog. Even our mothers who don't like dogs, enjoy Cassie.
Thanks for visiting my blog. The picture at the top is my IL's on their wedding day in 1950. :-)
LOL what a cute picture of Mandy...I'm glad you finally came to a decision about her:-) I know how heavy your heart was but now that you've decided to keep her, you can just enjoy her more!! Will read the links you posted...I know what you mean, it's soooo hard to choose just one blog or post!! Hugs xox
Glad your decision is made - I hope you have a long and happy life together.
Thank you for your comments on Kev's and my story. It is becoming a very important thing for us - we're learning so much about each other, and it's very cathartic.
Was the Evie album called "A Little Song of Joy for My Friends?" I love it! Kristen used to sing her songs in church when she was a little girl. She actually could have been her sister.
Thanks for the nomination! How sweet of you.
:>)
Oh Tammy, I've taken too long to get over here. I am sooooo happy you decided to keep her. Look at that photo. She's adorable and she will settle down with a little age.
Puppies, no matter what kind, are a challenge. It was a little scary that she was getting overly "playful" with the kids but I think she's going to be a great dog. If you get her spayed, she'll definitely mellow out.
And about nominating yourself in the awards - Everyday Mommy specifically said to go through your own archives and nominate something you think you did a better than normal job on. So don't apologize about that. At all.
What a great post. Made me happy.
:-)
Glad you finally made a decision. Do you think your pup felt as much relief as Anne did when Matthew and Marilla decided to keep her? LOL
